The 30th Annual NHSPCA Paw Walk returns in June

Calling all animal lovers, pet parents and anyone who wants to support a wonderful cause. A beloved annual fundraiser returns in June to Stratham, New Hampshire, and did we mention it’s pet-friendly?

The New Hampshire SPCA is celebrating its 130th anniversary as “the oldest animal welfare organization in the state of New Hampshire”, according to its website. In June, they will host the 30th Annual Paw Walk on Sunday, June 5 at Stratham Hill Park.

What is leg walking?

This fun and special event is the shelter’s biggest annual fundraiser. All proceeds will go towards providing “life-saving care for animals in need”, according to the facebook event. This year, the SPCA hopes to raise $120,000 according to their campaign.

The festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m., during which you can explore different adoption-focused tents, merchandise, and more. You can also get to know other pets and their humans, take your dog to a dog day spa, and more. The short walk will start at noon. People often participate to honor pets that have made a difference in their lives or to show their support for the SPCA. assignment.

The video below from 2019 further explains what the Paws Walk is. That year’s walk was attended by more than a thousand people, plus many four-legged friends, of course.

The SPCA encourages attendees to “Get Ready for a Fun Day,” and we’re confident this special event will be just that.
