3:37 a.m. Police responded to an emotionally disturbed person in the 2300 block of NW Jetty Avenue. The caller arrived at a church and could hear a woman screaming loudly. Officers located the woman at the address. She was detained and taken to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. The woman was combative and drunk.

7:45 p.m. Police took a report of a stolen vehicle from a business in the 1700 block of NW 44th Street. Stolen vehicle entered into the system.

12:47 a.m. Police responded to a disturbance at a business in the 1700 block of NW 44th Street. Security reported that they had a guest detained on the grounds. The woman may have assaulted another guest. The woman was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail for assault on a public safety officer, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct and interference. A man was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln City Police Department for disorderly conduct. Additional charges may follow an ongoing investigation. The man was cited and released at 5 a.m.

9:39 a.m. Police responded to a disturbance in the 1900 block of SE Lee Avenue. The caller reports that his sister punched him in the face. The suspect was arrested, charged with fourth degree assault, felony domestic violence and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.

4:04 p.m. An officer located the stolen Newport Police Department vehicle in a parking lot in the 1900 block of SE Lee Avenue.

12:35 p.m. Police reported an unsafe tow in the 2100 block of NE Hwy 101 and NE Oar Place. The company reported an abandoned vehicle parked, partially blocking the roadway. The vehicle was towed.

07:34 Police initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SE Oar Avenue. The driver was cited for a driving violation with suspension and driving without insurance.

5:13 p.m. Oregon State Police officers requested assistance in searching for a suspect at a store in the 1600 block of NW Hwy 101. Officers and OSP located the suspect in the area of ​​NW 17th/NW Jetty and had the suspect held at gunpoint. The suspect gets into the vehicle with another person and officers pursue the vehicle. The chase heads north on Hwy 101 and the OSP takes over after the vehicle is pinned to NW Logan Road/Hwy 101.







Oregon State Police

9:45 a.m. Oregon State Police (OSP) responded to a non-injury crash on Highway 20, mile post 15. A westbound vehicle slid on ice and crashed into the earth slope. The vehicle spun and came to rest in the eastbound lane. The vehicle has been totaled. The driver reported no injuries and refused to receive medical attention. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Toledo Fire, ODOT and Newport Fire responded to the scene.

9:43 p.m. OSP responded to an accident without injury on Highway 101 near mile marker 149. A single vehicle was traveling south and lost control as it rolled over, hitting an embankment. The driver lost his dog and it was hit by a vehicle.

7:30 a.m. OSP stopped a vehicle without a license plate on the 101 freeway near mile post 146. The driver was found to be driving a suspended misdemeanor. The driver was cited and released. The driver was also cited for not displaying his license plates and driving without insurance.

11:27 a.m. A Volkswagen Golf is pulled over for a traffic violation on Highway 101 near mile marker 156. After investigation, the driver is arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and reckless endangerment of others. The driver was incarcerated in the Lincoln County Jail.
