Nominations Open for San Bernardino County Education Medal of Honor – San Bernardino Sun

Nominations are open for the San Bernardino County Education Medal of Honor.

The award recognizes outstanding contributions to public education by volunteers, service groups, business and government partners, educators, and alumni. The deadline for submitting nominations is 4:30 p.m. on February 11.

Applications are accepted in six categories: Volunteer in Action/Community Volunteer; Volunteering in action/service group; Education/Small Business Partners or Franchise; Education/corporate partners or government agency; Excellence in Education/Educational Professional; and Excellence in Education/Alumni.

Nominations should focus on ways in which an individual or organization makes a lasting impact or contribution, serves as a positive role model, and creates awareness and support for public education in communities across San Bernardino County, according to a press release.

Nomination forms are distributed to all school districts in San Bernardino County. Nomination forms can also be downloaded at sbcss.k12.ca.us/index.php/superintendent/communications-intergovernment-relations/medal-of-honor.

Nominations should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line Education Medal of Honor – (Applicant Name) or submitted by mail to the County Schools Office, Attention: Communications, 601 N. E St., San Bernardino, CA 92415.

Judging for the Education Medal of Honor will be led by an independent panel of Riverside County school public relations professionals.

Education Medal of Honor recipients will be recognized in a ceremony at the San Bernardino County School Boards Association Spring Meeting.
