Exeter Hospital launches Kites Against Cancer in Hampton Beach NH

EXETER – Since 2004, Kites Against Cancer has filled the skies with kites as a sign of hope and support for cancer patients and their loved ones. This year, the Kites at the Beach event will take place on Sunday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., near the Oceanfront Pavilion in Hampton Beach. The community is invited to fly a kite in memory or in honor of a person touched by cancer.

Kites Against Cancer was created by Anne-Marie Viviano, a former cancer patient at Exeter Hospital who also started The Beyond the Rainbow Fund to help patients with expenses and well-being therapies to be during cancer treatments.

Kites are available for a $10 donation at over 25 Seacoast businesses or online at unitedinwellness.org. All funds raised during the Kites Against Cancer season benefit the Beyond the Rainbow Fund and the Together We Can fundraising campaign.

From now until June 12, members of the Seacoast region community are also invited to share photos, videos and stories that illustrate personal stories of how cancer has impacted their lives, and where and why they fly their kites. Learn more about unitedinwellness.org.

Exeter Hospital is particularly grateful to the Kites Against Cancer season sponsors: AutoFair of Stratham, Crescent Wealth Partners, Delta Dental, DF Richard, Hannaford, Kennebunk Savings, Newburyport Bank, Resiliency in Motion, Seacoast United Sports Club, Stewart’s Ambulance Service.
