Located on a 45-acre hillside in the Palos Verdes Peninsula with buses departing from Long Beach and Carson, Chadwick brings out the best in its students through active learning, one-on-one mentorship, stimulating academics, transformative global opportunities , unparalleled educational outdoor adventures, a competitive athletics program, and award-winning visual and performing arts programs. Chadwick School emphasizes character and leadership skills through its core values of honesty, respect, accountability, fairness and compassion, and prepares students for success in college, relationships and in life.

An unparalleled education

Students are immersed in Chadwick’s integrated and extracurricular courses that promote real-world application in subjects such as science, humanities, technology, arts and more. Outdoor Education, Global Education, Service, Athletics, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts programs allow students to be multidimensional and develop critical and creative thinking skills. Chadwick students learn to explore, hypothesize, collect evidence and communicate conclusions. They become confident, reflective and curious learners.

A community optimized to foster growth

Small classes and teachers who serve as mentors fuel the success of our students. Our teachers take the time to get to know each of their students, ensuring that students’ unique needs and interests are met. Students feel comfortable and confident to contribute to class discussions. From fellow students and teachers to academic and academic advisors, community is the fabric of our culture – and it’s an environment optimized for learning and personal growth.

Character and leadership in action

Starting in kindergarten, Chadwick’s core values—honesty, respect, accountability, fairness, and compassion—are embedded into the program ethos and practiced at every opportunity. As a result, students develop character and leadership throughout their studies from K-12 and bring these positive traits to college, relationships, and life.
