Why are you seeking an elective mandate? I am running for the Butler County Educational Service Center Board of Directors to ensure that the center continues to maintain its administrative leadership and the quality of service provided to the districts served by the center.
Why should voters elect you? I have 23 years of experience working with school districts across the state in my professional career. I will be able to share these experiences and knowledge helping the administration to continue the great past work of the organization.
If elected, what will be your top three priorities? 1. Ensure the maintenance of quality leadership within the organization. 2. Pursue the success of the conservative financial management of the organization. 3. Ascertain with the districts we serve that the BCESC provides the services necessary to ensure their success.
What specific plans do you have to address these top priorities? Work with quality staff and administration to implement these priorities.

Why are you seeking an elective mandate? The Butler County Educational Service Center offers programs and services to schools, government agencies, families and children. We provide professional development, leadership, and support for school administration and have been recognized by the Cincinnati Enquirer as one of the best places to work. As the current Chairman of the Board of Trustees, I am seeking re-election to the Butler County Educational Service Center Board of Trustees to continue the tradition of excellence in education – inspiring students and educators to achieve academic excellence through innovative programs, professional development, and services for children and families. I will advocate on behalf of students, parents and taxpayers while developing our workforce in support of the business community.
Why should voters elect you? I understand the importance of providing a high quality education to all students and will continue to advocate for families and the business community. My experience as an elected school board member, fiscal officer, business professional, and volunteer demonstrates my commitment to service and a willingness and desire to provide educational excellence to our students. I bring experience as a systems engineer and financial coordinator at IBM and most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for Butler County, working with the County Board of Commissioners. As part of the management team, we developed a rainy day fund to maintain operations during an economic downturn, operated with a structurally balanced budget, and developed a multi-year strategy to repay debt supported by the fund. general, which resulted in an upgrade of the bond’s rating to Aaa by Moody’s Investors Service. My experience in board policy and governance includes serving as president of the Ohio School Boards Association, board of directors of the National School Boards Association, and leading the Ohio Delegation of the Federal Relations Network Lobbying in Washington. , DC I was recently recognized for 20 years of service as a school board member of the Butler County Educational Service Center, Princeton City Schools, and Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Career Development School Boards . I will continue to serve families and the business community with conservative financial leadership, proven ethics and integrity. I am supported by Senator George Lang, 4th Senate District, State Representative Jennifer Gross and Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones.
If elected, what will be your top three priorities? My top three priorities if re-elected to the Butler County Educational Services Center Board will be: 1. Develop strategies to expand the services of the Educational Services Center in support of educational excellence. 2. Leverage technology to create alternative methods of delivering the educational programs needed to ensure that every child has access to a high quality education. 3. Emphasize the education of children and the programs required to compete in a global economy, without promoting social programs.
What specific plans do you have to address these top priorities? As a board member, I will be the voice of the community to encourage the development of new, innovative programs that provide student access and growth opportunities. The Educational Services Center Board of Directors continues to grow and is ready to meet the new challenges we face. We have changed our service model in response to the COVID-19 pandemic by providing technical support, PPE and food to families in need. The Educational Services Center Board of Directors will work collaboratively with our partner districts to address the ongoing challenges of COVID-19; Ensuring the education of children is our priority.
