Bonita “Bonnie” Nancy (Seavey) Ellsworth Obituary

Bonita “Bonnie” Nancy (Seavey) Ellsworth, 77, peacefully crossed on April 18, 2022, in Lake Geneva, WI. Bonita was born in Exeter, NH. She grew up on horse farms in Kingston and then in Stratham, NH. She resided in Kensington, NH for over 50 years, served on the planning board and as a trustee for several years. She eventually retired to Florida where she had lived since 2015 and eventually spent her final months in Wisconsin. Bonita worked as a registered nurse for 50 years. She came to know many families in the Coastal Region intimately while working as a hospice and palliative care nurse during the last 17 years of her nursing career. She was passionately fond of all types of riding and was particularly gifted in training horses in harness. Bonita enjoyed all types of gardening and light carpentry. Bonita never shied away from crushing gender roles ahead of her time, as she was always certain she could do most things a man could do. It was not uncommon to see her driving heavy equipment or driving large trucks with her Class A CDL. (2003), Wilbur Fiske Ellsworth

built a successful business in the coastal region known as Green View Landscaping and Excavation. Bonita is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Aucoin) Toll, of Burlington, WI, her daughter, Rebecca (Aucoin) Dow of East Kingston, NH, her sister, Dorothy (Seavey) Daland, of Virginia Beach, VA, many grandchildren, and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by her brother and two sisters. A celebration of life as opposed to traditional funeral services will take place later this year. Memorials in Bonita’s name may be made at Rockingham VNA and Hospice, Exeter, NH or at the Hospice Foundation of America, Washington, DC.
