Alice Frances Wentworth, 77, of Portsmouth, NH, died at her home on June 14, 2022.
Alice was born on June 21, 1944 in New York. Alice was the daughter of Mary Alice (Campbell) McCormack and father Edward McCormack. They lived in Newburyport, Ma for a short while before moving to Campbell Island in New Castle, NH.
Alice attended Lady Isle School and graduated from Portsmouth High School.
Alice worked at Booth Fishery for nearly 20 years, then took time off to care for her mother. She then started doing the accounting for the family business Wentworth Scrap Metal and retired with her husband Clifton Lawrence “Wimpy” Wentworth. She was also a member of Portsmouth Elks Lodge #97. Alice enjoyed traveling all over the country with her husband and they were particularly fond of Aruba.
Alice is survived by her nephew James Dumont, her nieces Jacquelyn Long and Rose Sheen. As well as cousins, many friends and good neighbours.
Memorial services will be a funeral service at Riverside Cemetery in New Castle, NH on July 9 at 2:15 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend. A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. at Portsmouth Elks Lodge #97.
