EXETER – The Jim Dill Memorial Trick or Treat Trot 5K and United in Wellness Cancer Walk will take place on October 30 on the Exeter Hospital campus.
Now in its tenth year, this landmark event will support the goals of the hospital’s historic Together We Can fundraising campaign to expand cancer care and other vital health services in the Seacoast region.
This year’s 10th anniversary event was dedicated to the memory of Jim Dill of Stratham. His personal battle with cancer ended in June 2021, but his impact on communities across the Seacoast region will not be forgotten as a leader, coach, mentor, colleague and inspiration to many.
“For more than 30 years, my father played an important role in the community,” said Brandon Dill, Jim Dill’s eldest son. “Everyone knew him at Stratham – he coached all of our teams growing up. A family man, super selfless, he always put others before himself. It’s so inspiring that the Trick or Treat Trot is dedicated to my father. He combines all the things he loved, helping others, running and dressing up for special occasions. Everyone who participates or contributes will help build on the things I know he enjoys and help improve the lives of all members of our community.
Jim Dill worked as Vice President of Sales for Lindt USA.
“Through his leadership, unwavering commitment and great spirit, Jim was instrumental in establishing Lindt (USA) as the #1 premium chocolate company in the US market,” said Daniel Studer , former President and CEO of Lindt Group Management of Lindt USA. “Many of us who knew him know that Jim would never take personal credit for the many successes of our sales department. He was a leader who was very proud of all of our employees and attributed our success to the collective talent and contributions of the entire Lindt (USA) team. Jim has been a true inspiration to our organization and will be remembered as an incredible professional, leader and friend to all of us.”

“The sponsorship of Emanuel Engineering has set the tone for community leaders and other businesses in the area to help increase the impact of this important part of the hospital’s $4 million Together We Can fundraising campaign” , said Dan Raposa, director of advancement at Exeter Health Resources. . “Their support has helped build the momentum for what promises to be the largest and most successful edition of this community-wide fundraising event in 10 years now.”
